This site is for Dorothy Fallan (my gran) she was born on the 13th of april 1932 and fell asleep on the 21st jan 2005. she was better known as wee dot she was a much love wife to Phil fallan and mother to hazel, ian, robert and david and grand mother to Kirsty Leeanne Louise Megan Robert William and alison she was also a great grandmother to sophie and steven. she was also the beloved sister of the late lillian Jones, ivy gorman and esther martin.Wee dot had suffered and fought for a long time before sadley falling asleep at wishaw general hospital on janaury 21st 05. she is still thougth of an talked about every wakin hour of every day. she was in my papas words the best wee wumin in all the land. maybe he says wee cos of her huge hieght of 4"11 and 3 quarters.
Some wee memoirs
She lived in wishaw and could quite often be seen at the bingo with her daughter hazel, if she wasnt doin the she was havin a wee gossip with her next door neighbour of 39years wee betty reardon the laughs the had the stories they used to tell each other still make us laugh now. for example betty told dot when they were makin there plans for dying as older friends often do tht if she got creamated that she couldnt be reincarnated. this made us laugh loads cos my gran believed her .if she wasnt gossipn with betty she would lie on her couch with phil on his chair and watch count down. But phil also played on her very innocent mind and when uri gellar was oon tv told her to put her trousers on and turn her coins round in her pocket for luck, but even though she had such an innocent nature she was very clever and funny and we all loved hearing stories of her childhood in newtradegar in wales and the stories of workin in the hospital in glouster and cos she was very beautiful and youthful at the age of 18 she was not aloud to go out with the other girls of her own age as the matron saw her as a baby.

Well a just writing to say HIya i miss u soo much so does every1 else, im at college doing hairdressing am going 2 pass this time gran cos i want u all to be proud of me. i hope its lovely up there! hope ur looking out fur wee betty cos shes no feelin too well the now bless her i think she misses u and ur blethers. ma papa is doin ok he gets a wee bit grumpy sumtime tho ha ha thts no really changed. i went up 2 see u the other week wae ma pal i lit 2 candles for u but it started 2 rain so i dnt no if they stayed alight or no im going 2 cum up in the week and light another. ma mum is liking her new house. but its xmas soon an its just no the same cos ur xmas dinners are better than any other. i miss u sooo soo much we used to giggle like we were th same ages wen i sat beside u and tickles ur wee knees and ur feet. i remember all ur child hood stories of wales and i miss thm very much. i hope u and ma aunty esther met up in heaven to keep and eye on my uncle chic and david and peter too . well im sure alll see u again sum day save space for me i love u forever and for always xxxxxxxxxxx
